• Now, if you no longer want to sync contacts from your device's contacts list, you can disable the contact syncing. Doing so will delete the contacts that you have synced automatically.
• To do so, first open the Settings (iOS) or Profile (Android) tab in Messenger.
• Next, select "People".
• Toggle "Sync Contacts" off and confirm that you want to delete the contacts that you have synced.

Steps to turn off Synching Contact with Facebook

To turn off syncing between Facebook and your contacts, you can follow the steps given below: -

• First, open the Facebook application.
• Next, tap on three horizontal bar icon present in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open a menu. On Android device, this option is at the top of the screen.
• Now, scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy.
• Then, tap Settings.
• Next, scroll down and tap Upload Contacts.
• Now, turn off the green "Upload Contacts" switch and on Android, tap the blue "Continuous Contacts Upload" and turn off when prompted. After doing this your synced contact settings will removed.
